Search your city or the venue
Type where you are going — a city, or the exact venue. Filter by whether you want a venue’s own host or an independent promoter.
Check the badge and the venues
Every profile lists the venues that host works with. Verified means we checked that link against the venue’s own domain and a person reviewed it.
Message them directly
Email, call, WhatsApp, Instagram or Telegram — whatever they listed. Birln is not in the middle of that conversation and takes no cut of it.
What the verified badge actually means
Every nightlife directory on the internet says “verified” and almost none of them will tell you what they checked. Here is exactly what ours is:
- The host names their venues. A profile is linked to specific venues in Birln’s database, not to a free-text claim about a city.
- We check the email domain. They submit a work email, and we compare its domain against the venue’s own website domain.
- A person reviews it. The badge is granted by a human on our side, not by the form succeeding.
- It can be taken away. Anyone with a Birln account can report a listing, and a listing that does not hold up comes down.
What it is not: a rating, a review score, or a promise about your night. It is a check on one specific thing — that this person is connected to that venue.
Never wire money to hold a table
A real host at a real venue takes payment at the venue or through the venue’s own system. Someone asking for a transfer, gift cards or crypto up front is the oldest scam in nightlife.
Confirm the venue knows them
Call the venue. A host worth booking will be happy to be checked on, and a verified badge here means we already checked against the venue’s own email domain.
Get the terms in writing
Minimum spend, what is included, and the cancellation rule — in a message you can scroll back to. Verbal on a loud sidewalk is not terms.
Report anything off
Use the report form on the profile. It takes a reason and details, goes to a human, and a listing can be pulled. Reporting helps the next person more than it helps you.
You host or promote
Your business is your phone book, and it only works when people can find you. A listing puts your name against the venues you actually work with, in the city you actually work in — and the verification check is the part that separates you from someone who bought a follower count.
Free to list. Your profile stays a draft until you submit it, and you choose which contact channels are public.
